More stuff about work. (Originally posted on My Space on Thursday, February 23, 2006)

That title might be a little misleading. I actually was planing to write up a bunch of stuff about my life in general. But given the large amount of time I've been spending at work lately, that mostly has to do with work.

First off big news. Today marks the first day in a 3 month weight loss contest at work. Given the sedintary nature of working at a desk in a lab all day I have been PACKING on the pounds. As have all my colleagues. So today we bought a scale and formed teams...we haven't decided what the prize for winning will be. But we chose target weights and divided the teams up based on the amount of weight each side needed to lose. So it breaks down to me, Mario, and Anthony vs. Chuck, Glen and the other QA Manager, Mike Motoda. It should be a pretty good contest. I'm excited. I think that we're evenly matched as far as guys who can lose weight and guys who can't...I've been riding my bike, but still eating like shit, this will help keep me on the straight and narrow.

Also, I talked to Jerry Trainor today for about 40 minutes. Something I haven't done in a long time. It was cool. Just shot the shit. Mostly talked about computers and stuff.

I have been thinking that I am going to ride by bike to work on Saturday.

That would be an 18 mile bike ride, each way. I think, based on the distance I ride each day that I could make it in about two hours if I really hauled ass. It's not set in stone, but the plan is formulating in the back of my mind.

Well, I meant for this to be a bigger update, but the work is really piling up for me.

Stay tuned for some reviews coming up soon...
