Jon Stewart on Palin's anti-choice stance

I don't get very political on this blog. Nothing like the genius rhetoric over on my Sister in Law's Blog, but I do have opinions. I also try not to get too amped up over the Daily Show. I love the Daily Show...but I get nervous about any media that is so obviously biased one way or the other...I mean, I agree with the Daily Show most of the time, but that doesn't mean I have to accept it wholesale at face value 100% of the time.

Still, I just got done watching the Sept. 4th Episode and good old Jon Stewart got in one of the zingers that makes you wish he'd moderate a presidential debate. Speaking with Newt Gingrich, Stewart had this to say in regard the the tenn pregnancy of Senator Palin's daughter:

STEWART: They have said, "this is Bristol's decision and we should honor that." I have a daughter. The thing that...the reason I think this is fair game is, Sarah Palin is one record as saying she would veto abortions for women even in the event of being raped. So what she is in essence saying, "respect my family's ability to make this decision, and elect me so that I can keep your family from having the same options."

Fuck, I mean couldn't really put it any better than that.

Agreed. When I saw that episode I had to rewind it and watch that part two times. He worded it so great.

One thing, though, is it's Governor Palin. Not Senator. :)
